Developed by BIM Content Creation specialists, IGS Group (IGS BIM Solutions), the Kattsafe Australia Revit library now includes over 120 Revit families across 11 product categories. These include Anchor Points, Davits and Needles, Fold-Down Ladders, Guardrails and Walkways, Platforms and Stairs, Rigid Rails, Roof Access Hatches, Skylight Protectors, Static Lines, Step Ladders, and Rung Ladders.
Included in the latest update are new products added to the following ranges:
- New Rigid Stealth Rail products added to the Rigid Rail range
- New Davit 2000m reach with 5 mounting options added to the Davits range
- New Self-Closing Gate added to the Guardrails and Walkways range
Notable features of the Revit families for Kattsafe’s Rigid Stealth Rails include:
- ‘Required Space’ can be shown in both 3D and 2D to display spatial requirements associated with various Kattsafe products, including Access Hatches, Fold Down Ladders, Step Ladders and Bridges, Davit Arms, Rigid Rail, Guardrails, Stairs and Walkways.
- Rigid Rails are created as line-based families that can be placed on any face or work plane, giving designers flexibility in how they position and document rail systems. Each rail also includes a parameter that facilitates full control over the end curve’s visibility, type, angle, and radius, along with other adjustable properties to suit specific project requirements.
- Utilisation of ‘Advanced’ PBR Materials, allowing for more accurate visual representation and higher quality renders.
Kattsafe Australia Revit content is available in a range of download formats to suit various content utilisation and management preferences. Users can download individual families (in Revit versions 2022 onwards), or range-based ‘Collections’ and Revit project files – also known as ‘Virtual Showrooms’ – with all content preloaded. A convenient one-click ‘Download All’ option is also available. Kattsafe’s Revit content is also accessible from directly within Revit via the free BIMcontent.com Revit Plug-In.
