Legrand has partnered with IGS Group and BIMcontent.com to deliver a long-term BIM content development programme, with the launch of its new Emergency Lighting BIM library marking the first stage of the partnership.

Now available on BIMcontent.com, the library provides architects, designers, electrical consultants, engineers, specifiers and BIM users with access to high-quality manufacturer-based Revit and AutoCAD content representing 92 Legrand Emergency Lighting products.

Developed to support modern design, specification, documentation, coordination and visualisation workflows, the library enables project teams to confidently incorporate Legrand Emergency Lighting products into their digital project environments.

Emergency Lighting Content Across Three Key Categories

The initial release represents the first stage of Legrand’s broader BIM content development programme and includes 15 high-quality Revit families representing 92 products across three key categories:

  • Emergency Exit Signs
  • Satellite Emergency Luminaires
  • Emergency Luminaires

Featured content includes the following Legrand Emergency Lighting ranges

  • G2 LED Slide Connect
  • E2 Edgelight LED
  • D50 Integrated Satellite
  • WP3 LED Weatherproof Battens

Together, these ranges provide project teams with a comprehensive selection of manufacturer-based Revit content suitable for a wide range of emergency lighting applications.

Developed for Practical Revit Workflows

Created by BIM content specialists IGS Group (IGS BIM Solutions), the library has been created in accordance with the BIMcontent.com Revit Content Standard to deliver consistent, high-quality manufacturer-based Revit content that integrates seamlessly into architectural and engineering workflows.

To suit a variety of placement and model management workflows, the library includes both Face-Based and Non-Hosted Revit families.

Non-Hosted families can be positioned using the ‘Elevation from Level’ or ‘Offset from Host’ parameters, allowing fixture heights to be adjusted to suit project requirements.

Recessed fixtures also include integrated voids that automatically create ceiling openings where required, helping to coordinate the interaction between lighting fixtures and surrounding ceiling elements.

Together, these features help project teams model, coordinate and document Legrand Emergency Lighting products more efficiently throughout project delivery.

Multiple Access and Download Options

The library is available to download from BIMcontent.com in both Revit and AutoCAD formats.

Revit users can access the content in Revit 2022 and later versions as:

  • Individual Revit families
  • Range-based ‘Collections’
  • An all-in-one Virtual Showroom – a Revit project file (.RVT) with all Legrand Revit content pre-loaded and methodically organised for efficient library downloading and browsing.

Revit users can also access the entire library directly within their projects using the free BIMcontent.com Revit Plug-In

A complete library of 3D and 2D CAD files is also available for AutoCAD and other CAD software users.

By making its BIM content freely available through BIMcontent.com, Legrand is making it easier for project teams to discover, access and incorporate its Emergency Lighting products into live projects. This investment reflects Legrand’s ongoing commitment to supporting the design community with high-quality digital resources that simplify specification, improve workflow efficiency and contribute to better project outcomes.
